Allyson Felix Finally Hangs Up Her Spikes

The great Allyson Felix announced this week that this would be her last season in track and field.

“I have given everything I have to running and for the first time I’m not sure if I have anything left to give,” was posted. “I want to say goodbye and thank you to the sport and people who have helped shape me the only way I know how—with one last run. This season isn’t about the time on the clock, it’s simply about joy.”

In her last season her goal is not to focus on the World Championships in Oregon in June. “That’s actually not even my goal, I just don’t know if I have the energy to try to make another team"
